The all-new AWD-5000GDX series dyno is the world’s most affordable mechanically linked AWD chassis dynamometer system. The AWD -5000GDX front portion of the AWD unit is a 2WD 5000 Series unit and the rear is a set of linked rollers with 36”-86” Inch track width. The AWD-5000GDX includes custom made gears and gearboxes instead of traditional belts. Dynocom’s exclusive gearbox system (GDX) was specifically designed for chassis/hub dynamometers and was designed for high torque, high speed, an easy installation. The GDX is the evolution in AWD dynamometer linkage systems and simply the most advance drive system in the industry that is vastly superior to belt linkage systems is the latest generation of AWD linkage systems. Positive direct drive with almost no backlash and instantaneous response are absolutely necessary for testing the latest AWD vehicles and Electric Vehicles.
Dynocom pioneered the latest generation of AWD linkage systems that evolved from simple electronic synchronization linkage, belt linkage systems, AC motor linkage systems, and now the GDX.

The AWD-5000GDX Series dyno incorporates Heavy Duty gearboxes which ensures that the front and rear rollers are always spinning at precisely the same road speed. This process eliminates the possibility of activating a vehicle’s traction control system and also ensures that a vehicle’s torque management system is operating under the assumption that the vehicle is not skidding, turning or slipping. The AWD-5000-GDFX can be operated in AWD Mode while testing two-wheel drive vehicles. This process allows the non-driven axle to be spun by the dynamometer rollers at the same speed as the driven axle, eliminating the speed differential that occurs on two-wheel or nonlinked dynamometers.

It is equipped with a Frenelsa eddy brake and you are able to perform acceleration, step, sweep and steady-state tests. • View in real-time torque/horsepower output, at steady and changing speeds, to instantly evaluate changes you’ve made to the engine’s fuel or timing maps. • Diagnose engine and drivetrain problems. • Troubleshoot drivability issues. • Run track ¼ mile or circle track lap simulations with reaction times that you determine in the software parameters.
